On October 19th, student Marcos Salazar of Passaic County Community College teamed up with the Ivanhoe Wheelhouse Museum & Art Gallery of Paterson, New Jersey, to debut his art show: Historyscapes. The arrangement of drawings and pictures tells the story about Paterson's rich history once upon a time. Some of the artwork displayed were drawings of the old Fabian theater, City Hall, and photography of Hinchcliffe Stadium, among other art pieces exhibited during the viewing. "My artwork is about exploring the world around me," says Salazar as he prepares the crowd for visual and performing art acts as part of his art show line-up. The opening act kicked off with a poem addressing violence in the City of Paterson, followed by live music from various artist such as Alyssa, GIO, Maze, Flawless, and Serenata. Food was served, and family, friends, and educators came out to support Salazar. | Many people who attended the show were impressed by the exhibition and look forward for future art show presentations by this talented and rising, local artist. | Event PhotosFor inquiries, information or to contact Marcos Salazar visit: http://marcos0043.weebly.com/ |
