This day is a time to remember those who have died living with this virus and to show support to those who are living with HIV. The theme for 2013 is Shared Responsibility: Strengthening Results for an AIDS-FREE Generation."35.3 million people are currently living with HIV. These are the facts An estimated 2.3 million are newly infected worldwide. 260,000 children are infected by this virus. There are 1.6 million AIDS-related deaths worldwide. Nearly a quarter of people living with this disease are unaware.
