Oh Holy Night | Happy Birthday Jesus, You came on earth one day. Savior, that was when you were born, To take my sins away. Shepherds came by night, And an angel brought the news, Looking heavenward, They saw a majestic view. Wise men saw a star, And at that moment they sought you As heavenly hosts sang Your praises Men came to adore you. They bought with them some gifts, Of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. In the fullness of these days, All these things occurred. Jesus, because of that time, My freedom was on the way. Yes, You came to die, And take all my sins away And every Christian remembers That Blessed Holy Day. As I grew up, Lord, Those many Christmases ago, I never knew that I would come, To know and love you so. You were than just a stocking, Some presents under a tree, A visitor, some mistletoe, That's all you meant to me. But then one night, I emptied out my heart, Barren, like your stable, That is when I knew, my God, You are truly able! | I was born-again that night, And like the Wise men too, On Christmas day and everyday, I come to worship you. You put a new song in my heart, A praise forever in my mouth. You took away all shame and pain, And removed all my doubts. Christ, You took up residence, You walk inside of me. And now I shine the light You gave me, So all the world can see. Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God The Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace I know when You come back, All my warring will cease. You are the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, That laid upon the hay Happy Birthday Jesus And Lord thank you for this day. Help us Lord to celebrate, your love within our hearts, Renew us Lord, and lead us in Your peace too, Help us Lord to show the world... In You all things are new!
